Tembo is the Swahili word for elephant. In this cooperative game, players will guide a herd of elephants on a dangerous journey of survival. To win the game, the herd must pass key landmarks and reach the final destination. However, the path is full of danger. The herd must seek out food and water, navigate difficult terrain, and always watch for fierce lions that roam the savanna. On a turn, players will choose one card from their hand and play it to either add elephants to the herd to extend its path, or they will play cards to fill in the map of the savanna creating the terrain for the herd to navigate. Cards cannot always be rotated when played, and must be oriented according to each player’s perspective, creating a unique puzzle. Tembo fosters strong collaboration and requires frequent communication between players to win. Scaling difficulty, a solo mode, and a campaign mode offer lots of replayability as no two journeys are ever the same!
